RØDECaster Video Core: bridging the gap for modern creators
RØDE has introduced the latest addition to the RØDECaster ecosystem: the RØDECaster Video Core. This all-new interface is designed to bring professional video streaming and capturing capabilities to any existing setup.
Following the launch of the RØDECaster Video S in November 2025 – a compact version of the RØDECaster Video-RØDE has been far from silent. The team has been busy developing a major innovation to transform the entire ecosystem. Even though rumors had been circulating, exactly how this device would impact the world of podcasting and video casting remained a mystery until its release in early March 2026.
Alongside the Video Core hardware, RØDE also released RØDECaster Sync. This powerful software feature seamlessly links the Video Core console with the RØDECaster Pro II or RØDECaster Duo, creating a single, unified production ecosystem. By integrating these devices, creators can now manage complex audio and high-definition video from one central hub, making the jump to professional video casting easier than ever.
How it works: taking full control of your stream and sound
The RØDECaster Video Core is an all-in-one video and audio production console and streamer designed for software-driven control and modular workflows. When paired with the RØDECaster Pro II or Duo via RØDECaster Sync, it expands a setup into a fully integrated professional audio and video production hub.
Unlike the RØDECaster Video and Video S, the RØDECaster Video Core has no on-board buttons to manage its functions. Instead, it is purpose-built for seamless operation via the RØDECaster App, which serves as the ultimate companion for the console.
Software-based production control
This software-based tool delivers the control needed to elevate any production. From switching between video sources to designing custom multi-camera layouts, the app makes it easy to manage up to four cameras at once. With the built-in scene builder option, fully customizable scenes can be created to suit any specific workflow.

Video switching: seamlessly jump between cameras, consoles, and other visual feeds in real time. Use customizable transitions like smooth fades, dips, and wipes to level up the production.
Setting scenes: create custom layouts by combining video sources, graphics, and media into dynamic scenes. Save up to five unique setups and switch between them instantly.
Pro Audio Suite: Mix, process, and route up to nine audio sources at once. Each channel strip is equipped with the APHEX® processing suite, featuring tools like EQ, compression, and signature enhancements like Aural Exciter™ and Big Bottom™.
Intelligent auto-switching: This AI-driven technology automatically changes camera angles based on who is speaking. It is perfect for interviews and live discussions, removing the burden of manual monitoring.
Post-production velocity: Export projects as an EDL for DaVinci Resolve to automatically import switch points, transitions, and media. This populates full timeline data directly into the edit.
Direct-to-platform streaming: Stream content directly to YouTube or Twitch via Ethernet. Use custom audio routing to send different mixes to the audience, headphones, and the recording.

Video Inputs: Support for 4 simultaneous feeds, including 3 x HDMI 1.4b (Type-A) ports and 1 x Multi-function USB-C port for UVC video.
Audio Inputs: 2 x Studio-grade Neutrik® Combo Jacks for XLR or instrument cables, featuring ultra-low-noise, high-gain Revolution Preamps™.
Video Outputs: 1 x Configurable HDMI output (Preview, Program, or Multiview) to monitor your production exactly how you need it.
Audio Outputs: 2 x High-power headphone outputs with independent custom mixes for precise monitoring.
Network Port: Dedicated Ethernet port for direct streaming and NDI support (supporting up to 4 NDI inputs and 1 output).
Expansion & Control Ports: Dual USB-C audio interfaces for connecting two computers or mobile devices simultaneously, plus a multi-function USB-C port for RØDECaster Sync integration or RØDE USB microphones.

RØDECaster Sync is a powerful feature that expands the joint capabilities of the RØDECaster Video Core when paired with a RØDECaster Pro II or Duo. By connecting these devices with a single USB-C cable, a comprehensive AV production studio is created, offering enhanced hands-on control and a massive array of inputs and outputs.
Key capabilities of RØDECaster Sync
Unified interface: the RØDECaster Pro II or Duo interface can be used to control both video and audio across both devices, including physical faders and the touchscreen.
Expanded I/O: Every audio input and output on both connected devices becomes available to a combined nine-channel mixer.
SMART pad video controls: Access a new "Video" SMART Pad type for hands-on switching of inputs, scenes, media, and overlays.
Shared processing and recording: Access granular DSP controls from the Pro II or Duo interface. A single press of the REC button on the audio console triggers the recording of all files directly to the Video Core’s external drive.
